Saturday AM  Beginner Wheel

Saturdays from 10am-1pm

Instructor: Chris King 

Session 1: April 27-June 15 (8-week course)

In this class taught by local artist, Chris King, students who have never thrown before or have only rudimentary throwing skills will learn centering, pulling up forms, and how to create cylinders, cups, and bowls. Basic glazing techniques will be covered.

Who should take this class?: This class is best suited for adults (18+) who have never thrown before or would like a refresher on their fundamentals! 

Class includes: 

  • 3 hours of weekly instruction (during scheduled class time)
  • Glazes, slips, underglazes, and firings 
  • A small studio shelf
  • 3 open studio opportunities a week (schedule posted) 
  • The first 25 pounds of clay

 

Please note: Purchases are not transferable. No refund will be issued during the first week of class. The Pewabic Education Studio is under no obligation to reschedule classes that are canceled upon the closure of the facility due to inclement weather, power outages, misunderstanding of schedule, Covid shutdown, and/or personal schedule shifts. There is no guarantee that a make-up class will be offered. Classes will not be prorated to accommodate a missed class, nor will refunds be issued.
