Michael worked as a professional potter for 48 years until, in 1997, he created a tile line that was so popular, he had to stop making pots just to keep up with his tile orders! These unique handmade tiles are made by rolling out a 25 lb stoneware clay slab, pressing a string guide into the clay to map out the tiles, and hand-pressing original stamp designs into the tile. A brilliant blue glaze is applied and highlighted with molten glass.

All 6x6" tiles have four protective rubber pads and a hanging hook on the back, making them equally useful as trivets and wall hangings.
